France stars Frederic Michalak and Fabien Pelous will on Friday night make their first starts for Toulouse since recovering from long-term injury problems.

Fly-half Michalak and lock Pelous have both been out since the end of last year with knee and ankle injuries respectively.

They missed Les Bleus’ defence of their RBS 6 Nations Championship title, but recently returned to competitive action with Toulouse from the bench.

Michalak, who has not started a match for six months, played nine minutes as a substitute in the Top 14 win at Castres on April 6, but has been troubled by a minor calf complaint since.

France captain Pelous, who was injured against Llanelli Scarlets in a Heineken Cup match in the middle of December, played for five minutes off the bench against Clermont-Auvergne a fortnight ago.

Both players are certainties to be involved in this year’s World Cup, should they maintain their fitness between now and September.
