Ireland flanker Simon Easterby has agreed a three-year extension to his contract with Llanelli Scarlets and he will be with the club until July 2010.

The 2005 British Lion moved to Wales from Leeds in 1999 and has played 148 games for the club.

‘I’m delighted to re-sign with the Scarlets, especially as we are heading towards some exciting times,’ he said.

‘The club and region have been a major part of my life over eight years.’
