Lock forward Carlo Del Fava has been added to Italy’s World Cup squad.
Del Fava had originally been pencilled into the squad only to drop out because of a knee injury.
However, after Del Fava’s 24-year-old replacement Fabio Staibano failed to prove his fitness, Italy coach Pierre Berbizier has relented and included the 26-year-old.
A statement on the www.federugby.it website confirmed that the Ulster player has now recovered from his injury.
