Former Scotland forward Hamish Dawson has died at the age of 81.

Former Scotland forward Hamish Dawson has died at the age of 81.

Dawson represented Scotland from 1947 to 1953, winning 20 caps.

He made his debut as a lock against Australia at Murrayfield and after another two caps in the second row spent the rest of his international career at prop.

He played club rugby for Glasgow Accies, Oxford University, London Scottish and the Barbarians and served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War after joining in 1943.
