Llanelli Scarlets scrum-half Liam Davies has accepted a contract with French Super 14 side Brive.
Llangennech-born Davies, 22, is the third Scarlet to join the big-spending French club in the past two years, following Barry Davies and Alix Popham.
The Wales Under-21 man joined the Scarlets as an apprentice aged 18, before taking a two-year professional deal that expired this summer.
Davies’ departure follows that of Wales scrum-half Dwayne Peel who is moving to Premiership outfit Sale Sharks.
The Scarlets have covered the departures of Peel and Davies by signing veteran Tongan scrum-half Sililo Martens and Ospreys youngster Martin Roberts.
