For all Scotland 7s interview requests, and media opportunities for the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Dubai, please contact Stuart Martin. Stuart will also be able to provide post match reaction from coach Stephen Gemmell after every game.

Further information concerning sevens; and the RFL Magic Weekend (being staged at Murrayfield on 2/3 May) will be circulated next week.

Monday 2 March – Scottish Rugby will circulate an update by email on a comprehensive consultation concerning player safety across all aspects of the game.

Tuesday 3 March – Trackside, Murrayfield Stadium, 10.30am – Reporters, photographers and camera crews are invited to the stadium as Scottish Rugby and Bell Lawrie celebrate the renewed sponsorship of the Scottish Schools Cup and the announcement of an all new girls’ competition. Wednesday 4 March – Hillpark Secondary School, 36 Cairngorm Rd, Glasgow, G43 2XA,? 9.50am – Reporters, photographers and camera crews are invited to Hillpark Secondary School as part of the XL club initiative run in partnership between The Prince’s Trust and Scottish Rugby. Glasgow Warriors players James Eddie, Jon Welsh, Stevie Swindall and Andrew Henderson will act as guest coaches while leading the tag sessions, giving pupils advice on playing the game as well as the importance of eating healthily and getting regular exercise. Wednesday 4 March – Drysdale Suite, Murrayfield Stadium, 11.30am – Reporters, photographers and camera crews are invited to a media conference when Edinburgh head coach Andy Robinson and assistant coach Rob Moffat will announce their team to play the Scarlets in the Magners League at Parc Y Scarlets on Sunday 8 March (kick-off 4.10pm). Thursday 5 March – President’s Suite (President’s end) Murrayfield Stadium, 10.30am – Reporters, photographers and camera crews are invited to Murrayfield Stadium for the round six draw of the Scottish Hydro Electric Cup and respective rounds of the Shield, Bowl and Plate. Thursday 5 March – Interview opportunities (primarily to facilitate Sunday paper previews of Scotland v Ireland) will be available with home-based members of the Scotland squad. We would anticipate this access would be around 1pm at Murrayfield but this is subject to confirmation. Your contact here is Graham Law.

Thursday 5 March – Rugby World Cup Sevens – day one

Scotland v Canada. Kick-off 5:32pm GST, 1:32pm GMT. This game is live on Setanta Sports 1.

Thursday 5 March – Boxing Room, Palace of Art, Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, 11am – Head coach Sean Lineen will announce the Glasgow Warriors team to play Ulster in the Magners League on Saturday 7 March, kick-off 7:30pm.

Selected players will also be available for interview/photograph at this time.

Friday 6 March – Rugby World Cup Sevens – day two

Scotland v Japan. Kick-off 2:18pm GST, 10:18am GMT.

South Africa v Scotland. Kick-off 5:58pm GST, 1:58pm GMT. Both of today’s games are live on Setanta Sports 1.

Saturday 7 March – Rugby World Cup Sevens – finals day

Scotland’s fixtures will be decided after the second day of competition. Updates on the team’s progress will be posted on www.scottishrugby.org. All of today’s games will be live on Setanta Sports 1.

Saturday 7 March – Magners League

Ulster v Glasgow Warriors, kick-off 7:30pm. Post match flash quotes will be available from Stuart Martin. This game is live on Setanta Sports 1.

Sunday 8 March – Magners League

Scarlets v Edinburgh, kick-off 4.10pm.
