Chris Cusiter is confident he can deliver the best form of his career this season for both club and country.

The scrum-half signed for Glasgow in January and is relishing the return to his homeland following a two-year spell with Perpignan.

At 27, he is one of the more experienced players in the squad and believes that responsibility can only help his own game improve.

“The responsibility is something I’m becoming more comfortable with,” he told the Scotsman.

“I really enjoyed Romania and have enjoyed taking responsibility at Glasgow, in the limited game-time I’ve had here so far.

“Hopefully, I can develop that as the season commences and see what comes in November.

“The priority for me is to play well and help Glasgow win, but with the added responsibility and the best preparation, I’m sure I can get the best rugby out of myself that I’ve ever played.

“That’s certainly my goal.”
