Newport Gwent Dragons made it two pre-season wins out of two with a dominant second-half display to ease to a 29-8 pre-season win at National League One side Coventry.

The result, following a 16-10 win over Worcester Warriors at Rodney Parade last Friday, leaves the Dragons in good shape ahead of Sunday’s Magners League opener at home to Ulster.

Lock Adam Jones and wing Will Harries earned Paul Turner’s side a 10-3 interval lead at Butts Park Arena.

Aled Brew gave the Dragons breathing space after a host of substitutions at half-time before prop Nigel Hall bulldozed over 10 minutes later.

Wing Richard Fussell ensured Dragons victory before a Coventry consolation.
