Head coach Michael Bradley has called on the Connacht faithful to play their part and help send Toulon packing in their European Challenge Cup semi-final.
The Top 14 leaders and star-studded side will arrive at the Sportsground as overwhelming favourites to meet Wasps or Cardiff Blues in the final.
Samoan flanker Roy Ofisa misses out for the hosts while half-backs Frank Murphy and Ian Keatley will pit their wits against Pierre Mignoni and Jonny Wilkinson.
But Bradley insists the French side won’t have it all their way in the Irish province.
“Toulon are a colourful side with lots of big names and big stars with the likes of Jonny Wilkinson but they have to come to Galway and we have the X-factor in terms of our ground,” said Bradley.
“They will bring all of their stars but we’ve got our support and we will have to see who comes out on top.
“The crowd were very important to us on the day against Bourgoin in the last round and obviously in big cup matches home advantage can count.
And Toulon coach Philippe Saint-Andre, who has resisted the temptation to rest his star names, is under no illusions the task his side face when entering the cauldron.
He said: “I think if the semi-final was at home we’d be favourites, but we’re going to Galway on a Friday night and it will certainly be difficult.”
