France full-back Brice Dulin admits that a good performance against Perpignan this Thursday could make all the difference ahead of the autumn internationals.

A former Under-20 international, Dulin was one of a number of players called into the French senior squad after Les Bleus finished fourth in the RBS 6 Nations.

He started both matches of the summer tour to Argentina and impressed enough to earn a spot in Philippe Saint-André’s squad for the autumn internationals.

And with the team for the first match against Australia set to be named on Sunday, Dulin knows that he must perform for club side Castres in their Top 14 clash with Perpignan.

He said: “We will see how it goes but the coaches’ decisions will almost certainly come down to recent performances. “If I’m picked it will mean that I can add something to the squad, if not I’ll keep working to go up a level and be part of the next squad.

“Nothing is decided yet and there is the game against Perpignan still to play. It could come down to very little.

“The goal is to give everything for the team. The most important thing is to be consistent and perform for your club, the rest will follow. I need to think about the present not the future to not lose my lucidity and concentration.”
