France centre Florian Fritz looks set to miss the majority of the 2014 RBS 6 Nations after injuring his arm in a road traffic accident.
Fritz, who has won 34 caps for France, was involved in a motorcycle accident on his way to training with his club Toulouse on Thursday.
Toulouse boss Guy Noves said: “Florian had an accident with his motorbike and has broken an arm or had a dislocation.
“He will be unavailable for at least two months.”
Fritz has enjoyed a fine season to date, playing in 13 of Toulouse’s 14 Top 14 games and all four of their European Cup games.
The 29-year-old has been a regular starter for France since coach Philippe Saint-Andre took charge last year.
But the injury means he is expected to be absent for at least France’s first three games in the RBS 6 Nations against England, Italy and Wales in February.
