Parra was expected to play a major part at Murrayfield after failing to make an appearance in the RBS 6 Nations so far this year.

However, the Ligue De National Rugby have ruled he must serve a two-match ban following his red card for club side Clermont last Saturday.

“Morgan Parra is suspended for two consecutive matches on the grounds of ‘excitability’,” said the LNR.

Parra should return for France’s final 2014 RBS 6 Nations clash with Ireland on March 15, but seven-cap wing Andreu has been drafted into the squad in his place.

The 28-year-old last played in the RBS 6 Nations in 2010, appearing three times and scoring a try against Italy.
