Head coach Vern Cotter hopes supporters can roar Scotland on to the 2016 RBS 6 Nations crown after it was revealed both matches at BT Murrayfield Stadium have now sold out.

The 67,144-capacity stadium has sold out one month quicker than last year, with interest spiking following Scotland’s run to the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals.

And Cotter said: “It’s a privilege to be part of a team for which there’s so much passionate support.

“To sell out our home RBS 6 Nations games so far in advance is great news for Scottish rugby as a whole, as well as the players, who’ll get a big lift from the news.

“The fans were outstanding throughout the Rugby World Cup. They came out in numbers and made themselves heard. To see that support continue for the RBS 6 Nations is really exciting and humbling.”

Those who have missed out on tickets can still see the cream of Scottish rugby at BT Murrayfield Stadium when Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors go head-to-head on Sunday 27th December, kick-off 3.05pm.

Tickets for the first leg of the 1872 Scottish Cup available at www.edinburghrugby.org, by calling 0131 346 5180 or visiting the BT Murrayfield ticket centre.

A ‘kids from £1’ offer runs until Monday 30 November.
