Wales centre Scott Williams will return to action for the first time since injuring his knee at the Rugby World Cup after he was named in Scarlets’ starting XV for Judgement Day.

Williams, who missed the entirety of the 2016 RBS 6 Nations, will make his first appearance in seven months as Scarlets take on Newport Gwent Dragons at Principality Stadium.

Judgement Day will feature a slew of other Wales stars, as Cardiff Blues and Ospreys also play in front of a crowd estimated to reach approximately 70,000.

And the stakes could hardly be higher for Williams and company – fifth-place Scarlets are eyeing up a top-four finish with two games to go in the Pro12.

“It is going to be a huge day,” said Scarlets skipper and Wales hooker Ken Owens.

“To play in atmospheres like this should inspire the boys: playing in front of packed houses in the best stadiums in the world is what rugby is about.

“We have lost our last couple of games and know we have to beat the Dragons to have a chance of finishing in the top four.”
