Grand Slam winner Paul Hill together with fellow England internationals Tom Wood and Teimana Harrison have signed new contracts with club side Northampton Saints.

Hill made his Red Rose debut in the 40-9 victory over Italy in February, replacing Dan Cole for the final 11 minutes in the Stadio Olimpico.

It was England’s second win of five that secured their first Grand Slam triumph in more than a decade.

Flanker Harrison was one of eight previously uncapped players named by head coach Eddie Jones in his 26-man training squad ahead of the championship and made his England bow in the win over Wales in May, completing the full 80 minutes.

Wood, who has played in 17 RBS 6 Nations matches, has suffered with foot and neck injuries this year and went under the knife in May.

But Saints hope he will be fit for the start of the domestic season on September 3.

Confirming the future of each of the trio had been secured, Saints head coach Jim Mallinder said: “We’ve seen them all develop massively in their time at the club, and to have these deals agreed well before the start of the 2016/17 season means that we can plan with certainty for the future.”
