England Under-20s Coach Rory Teague cannot wait to show the future of the Red Rose in still in full bloom at the 2017 Under-20s Six Nations.

The reigning IRB World Rugby Under-20s Champions – who finished in a disappointing fifth in this year’s edition – this week announced that their three home games next year will be played in Exeter, Darlington and Northampton.

Sandy Park will host their opener against their French counterparts and marks the first time England Under-20s have played at the home of the Exeter Chiefs.

Italy will be the visitors at Darlington Mowden Park before Scotland come to Franklin’s Gardens in the penultimate round of games.

And Teague – whose side face tough trips to Colwyn Bay to take on Grand Slam winners Wales and Dublin to face World Championship runners-up Ireland – is excited at what the future holds.

“We have a lot of hard work to put in from now until February and it’s important we make sure the squad are aware and prepared for the intensity that is required of them at this level,” he said.

“The opportunity to represent your country in a special competition like the Six Nations is a real honour for any player.

“The support we receive wherever we play across the country is fantastic and these different environments and new grounds allow us to challenge the players in a number of ways.

“It will be a special occasion playing at Sandy Park for the first time as England U20 and an excellent crowd can always be expected in Northampton. We received brilliant support in Newcastle last year and I’m sure it will be the same in Darlington, it is great that England U20 can play there again.”
