Wales fly-half Dan Biggar looks in lethal form ahead of the RBS 6 Nations, having become the first player from the region to score 2,000 points.

Ospreys’ Biggar kicked 14 points – four penalties and a conversion – in their 19-9 Guinness Pro12 win over Scarlets on Tuesday.

Biggar has 51 caps for Wales, and has amassed 295 points for the national side. He is also the youngest person to reach 100 appearances for Ospreys.

Head coach Steve Tandy described the 27-year-old’s efforts at club level as “remarkable”, and added the fly-half had a lot more to give.

“There’s definitely no luck in and around that,” Tandy said. “Everything around him is geared to winning games.

“It’s pretty remarkable, but it’s not a real surprise when you look at how much time he spends on the training field.

“It’s a pretty special effort and he’s still got a lot of rugby left in him.”

Wales kick-off their RBS 6 Nations campaign against Italy at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on February 4.

They then host England at Principality Stadium before travelling to BT Murrayfield for a clash with Scotland.

After a home tie against Ireland, Rob Howley’s side conclude their RBS 6 Nations campaign away to France on March 18.
