Wasps Ladies have announced the signing of England star Rochelle ‘Rocky’ Clark.
Clark, a seven-time Six Nations Grand Slam winner and MBE, has won 129 caps as a prop forward since making her debut for England in 2003. The signings of Justine Lucas, Amy Cokayne and Harriet Millar-Mills have also been announced by Wasps in recent days.
Clark will work with Wasps Ladies Director of Rugby Giselle Mather at her new club and told the Wasps Ladies website: “I chose to come to Wasps as I heard it was a great club with good culture and Giselle is an amazing coach.
“Rugby means everything- you make your best friends, it makes you a better person. I coach rugby too! I literally eat, sleep and breathe rugby.”
Despite her mammoth haul of caps, Clark, 36, has no intention of hanging up her boots at this stage.
She added: “In two years’ time, I’ll still be charging round a rugby pitch- there’s life in the old dog yet.”
