Gareth Anscombe and Dan Biggar both put in assured performances for their clubs as the tussle for the Welsh fly-half jersey continues ahead of the 2019 Guinness Six Nations.

The 27-year-old conquered filthy conditions on Friday night with a typically composed kicking display to see Cardiff Blues past rivals Dragons in Guinness PRO14.
The versatile back, who has played at full-back for the Blues for much of this season, compensated for swirling wind to give his side the lead on 20 minutes and maintain momentum.
Despite a late comeback from Dragons, who were down to 14 men, Anscombe stepped up and stroked over a crucial penalty goal on the game’s final play to earn the Welsh province victory at Cardiff Arms Park.
Meanwhile Biggar, given the creative reigns in two games in the 2018 Championship, kicked the crucial points in Wales win over Australia in November and remains a proven performer at the highest level.
The 29-year-old British & Irish Lion nailed six penalties as Northampton Saints ran out comfortable winners over Worcester Warriors.
Biggar, faultless from the tee, could very nearly have helped himself to a 23-point haul had his late drop goal attempt not crashed against the posts.
So Wales and head coach Gatland, who open their 2019 Guinness Six Nations campaign against France on Friday, February 1, can call on a number of in-form stand-offs next spring.
