France head to England as underdogs today but Les Bleus are convinced they can spring a surprise in round two of the Guinness Six Nations.

A week after seeing a 16-0 half-time lead evaporate against Wales, France face an English outfit brimming with confidence.

Eddie Jones’ side produced a blistering display in Dublin to see off Grand Slam champions Ireland and claim a bonus-point victory.

However the French can look back on a victory in Le Crunch last year and Arthur Iturria, a standout performer against the Welsh, insists they will hold nothing back.

He said: “We’ve got nothing to lose. We can’t come across as nobodies. We’ll take off the handbrake, we have to.

“We have the ability to destabilise them and we have to go with the desire and the confidence that we can do something.”

It will be a first Crunch for Iturria, unlike Mathieu Bastareaud who returns to the French team and was key to the win against England last year.

And following that defeat to Wales, the centre knows that Les Bleus will have to be at their best for the whole 80 minutes to earn a victory at Twickenham.

He added: “It’s up to us, as a team, we have to produce a huge performance. It’s already difficult to win away from home, even more so in England.

“It’s up to us to concentrate from start to finish, to sacrifice ourselves for the mate next to you until the final second.”

Finally prop Dany Priso, who will start on the bench, has urged the French to enjoy themselves on the pitch and avoid putting too much pressure on each other.

He added: “We will enjoy it. That’s what rugby is about. If they want a battle, we’ll give them a battle. But above all we have to enjoy ourselves.

“From the minute you enjoy this sport, for me it’s not a job, it’s really about enjoying yourself.

“I want to enjoy it and relax, give everything I have. If we are up against guys who want a battle and like to take the mickey, well we’ve got some too. We’ve got a good group.”
