With Round Two of Guinness Six Nations action in the books, now’s the time for celebrations, commiserations and recuperations.

England and Wales maintained their perfect starts to Rugby’s Greatest Championship, Ireland returned to winning ways while Italy, Scotland and France fell to defeat.

In what was another enthralling weekend of rugby, social media was a hive of activity as every second of action was pored over in minute detail.

Here’s the best of it.

Former England man Joe Marler is confident that Eddie Jones’ men can do the business after they downed France 44-8 in Le Crunch.

And Marler’s conviction certainly isn’t without evidence.

The destination of the Guinness Man of the Match award was left in little doubt at Twickenham.

England’s display also came in for praise from a couple of Wales legends.

While Courtney Lawes earned himself rave reviews with one spectacular challenge during his team’s victory at Twickenham.

Eddie Jones’ troops certainly put on a performance befitting the royal seal of approval.

But it wasn’t all about England, with Ireland impressing as they emerged from BT Murrayfield with victory.

And they had a star man of their own to thank for their 22-13 win.

Scotland deserved credit for their performance, however, and got some from an unexpected source.

In Rome, Warren Gatland wasn’t wholly satisfied with his side’s performance, but they brought home the bacon nonetheless with a 26-15 victory.

There was a landmark moment for the Wales skipper at the Stadio Olimpico.

As well as a new face on the scene.

While an impressive display from the Italians had a former Guinness Six Nations great feeling encouraged.
