Saracens and England hooker Jamie George is confident that the international experience of his teammates will put them in good stead for the Champions Cup final.
Mark McCall’s team beat Munster 32-16 to reach the final for the fourth time in six years having lifted the trophy in 2016 and 2017.
England captain and fly-half Owen Farrell kicked 22 points for Saracens while Billy Vunipola turned in a try-scoring man-of-the-match performance to help get his side over the line.
Saracens were confronted by a Munster side led by Ireland’s Peter O’Mahony and Conor Murray, both of whom have three Guinness Six Nations Championships to their names, and were forced to work hard in the first half.
Farrell kept the scoreboard ticking over and Vunipola added to Michael Rhodes’ earlier try to secure victory for the north Londoners.
“We have had some amazing memories in this competition so to be in another final, one in this country in Newcastle, we’re hugely excited for that,” said George.
“We are fully aware of the quality of Munster and they made us fight for everything out there and the boys certainly reacted to that and I am hugely proud of everyone.
“In big games you need big players and we are lucky that have players with a lot of international experience and players that have been here before and done it.
“We can build on that performance and we know that we are going to need to be at our best to win this trophy whoever we play. It will be a big test for us but one we are massively looking forward to.”
Saracens will now face either Leinster or Toulouse in the May final, with that semi-final to be played on Sunday 21 April.
