Rocky Clark, the most-capped international women’s player in history, will play against England in their historic meeting with the Barbarians Women next month.

The 37-year-old, who retired in 2018 after racking up 137 appearances during a glittering England career, has been named in the Barbarians’ squad for their first-ever Twickenham Stadium meeting with the Red Roses on June 2.

Clark appeared in every Women’s Six Nations tournament from 2005 until her retirement, helping England to eight crowns and seven Grand Slam titles in that time.

Meanwhile, full-back Danielle Waterman, fly-half Ceri Large, second-row Tamara Taylor and prop Laura Keates, who have all played for England, are set to make their Barbarian debuts.

Emily Wood, Georgina Gulliver and Heather Kerr are three further English representatives.

Wing Jasmine Joyce, who ran in four tries in the Barbarians’ 34-33 win over the United States in their first women’s international in April, is also selected alongside her Wales colleague Elinor Snowsill.

Gaelle Hermet, who has captained France in a number of Women’s Six Nations campaigns, is also included, as are Ireland’s Claire Molloy, Hannah Casey and Sene Naoupu.

Next month’s clash will serve as the first stanza of a Twickenham double-header, with the two teams’ men’s counterparts meeting for the Quilter Cup afterwards.
