Jacques Brunel has announced the 31-man squad who will represent France at the 2019 Rugby World Cup with Louis Picamoles set to appear at his third World Cup.

The Montpellier No.8 is one of six back-rowers who make the cut, while Guilhem Guirado is set to captain the team.

Brunel has gone with a 17-14 split between forwards and backs with two players who were originally included among the reserves having forced their way into the first-choice 31 – loosehead prop Cyril Baille and back-rower Charles Ollivon.

Elsewhere Romain Ntamack will follow in the footsteps of his father Emile Ntamack in representing France at a World Cup.

Les Bleus will kick off their campaign against Argentina, with their final pool match against Guinness Six Nations rivals England.
