Alun Wyn Jones will captain Wales in his fourth Rugby World Cup as they open up their campaign against Georgia in Toyota on Monday.

The second row, the 2019 Guinness Six Nations Player of the Championship, leads a strong team and starts alongside Jake Ball in the second row.

In the back row, Warren Gatland has chosen to shift Josh Navidi to No.8, with Dragons’ Aaron Wainwright and Ospreys’ Justin Tipuric on the flanks as Ross Moriarty has to settle for a place on the bench.

Up front Ken Owens will be joined by Scarlets teammate Wyn Jones in the front row, along with tighthead prop Tomas Francis.

In the backs, it will be up to Gareth Davies and Dan Biggar to pull the strings in the half-backs, while Hadleigh Parkes and Jonathan Davies continue their partnership in the midfield.

And in the back three Liam Williams will start at full-back, supported by George North and Josh Adams out wide.

Leigh Halfpenny is the most experienced player on the bench, which also features Aaron Shingler covering the second row as well as the aforementioned Moriarty.

Wales will have six days after the clash with Georgia to prepare for their encounter with Australia in Tokyo next Sunday.
