Every year the Guinness Six Nations brings people together, not just from the countries competing, but across the world.

The rivalries between the teams may be fierce, but off the field there are friendships forged as different cultures come together, which helps to create the spectacle that it is today.

This year, Guinness will bring another dimension to the Championships, as they take the action out of the stadia and into the host cities, bringing people together to share some of the best cultural experiences from across the six nations.

This will involve four culturally themed experiences hosted by well-known rival rugby legends and famous Irish and French chefs, as the 2020 Guinness Six Nations looks set to be pulsating both on and off the field.

Speaking at the 2020 Guinness Six Nations Launch, Ireland legend Brian O’Driscoll knows all too well how inclusive the competition can be, and knows the people of Dublin will give visiting fans from all nations a warm welcome.

“I am really looking forward to meeting up with friends over the next few weeks from across each of the six nations. Many of whom were one time on-field rivals and are now firm friends,” the Championship’s record try scorer said.

“I always enjoy benefiting from their local knowledge when I see them in their home towns. I hope that Scottish and Irish fans can enjoy coming together to experience some fun in my neck of the woods.

“If you are around Clontarf, where I grew up, a stroll on Dollymount strand, followed by food and a pint of the black stuff is a must.”

With just days until the action gets underway, here is what Dublin will have to offer as a piece of the continent comes to the Irish capital.

Hiking in Howth with Tommy and Thom:

As Andy Farrell’s side prepare for their curtain-raiser at the Aviva Stadium against Scotland this Saturday, Irish fans will be getting their first cultural experience as they hike round the iconic Howth Head.

The coastline walk will be hosted by former on field rivals, Tommy Bowe and Thom Evans, who will no doubt have a story or two to tell along the way. As well as the picturesque views, there will also be a meal and a pint of the black stuff on offer in a local pub.

A Grand Slam Winning Drop Goal:

Remember Ronan O’Gara’s drop-goal to win the Grand Slam back in 2009? Well, this year you can have the chance to recreate that moment in front of the great man himself.

The Ireland v Wales experience will be hosted by O’Gara and Shane Williams as the bold, brave and curious take their best shot at kicking one through the posts and leading their team to glory.

Serata Della Pizza (Pizza Evening):

Fusing the ultimate Irish and Italian cultural experience, Guinness will team up with an Italian rugby legend to host a pizza night for friends and rivals alike to enjoy a taste of Italy in iconic Dublin pubs across the city.

A French Foodie Experience:

As the Guinness Six Nations comes to an end on March 14th, the Irish side will travel to Paris in what could be a crucial clash. Back at home, there will be a different kind of competition taking place, but one that will no doubt get heated!

This is the clash of the cuisines, as well-known Irish and French chefs go head to head in a cook-off with attendees getting to savor the best foodie experience that each nation has to offer.
