The Guinness Six Nations returns to the fore this weekend with three blockbuster matches to satisfy all of your rugby needs as the players come back refreshed after a rest week.

Italy welcome Scotland to the Stadio Olimpico in the opening game of Round 3 before France travel to Cardiff to face Wales and England lock horns with Ireland at Twickenham.

And with Rugby’s Greatest Championship back, the Official Guinness Six Nations Fantasy Rugby game also returns for what is set to be another round packed with thrills and spills.

So with three blockbuster fixtures coming up, we have put our heads together to choose five must-have forwards to bolster your Fantasy Rugby team for this weekend’s action.

Considering the Wales captain is not the most expensive second-rower in the game, Alun Wyn Jones is a strong choice for any Fantasy Rugby team.

With Wales losing to Ireland last time out, Wayne Pivac’s side will be determined to get back to winning ways when they welcome France to Cardiff.

And expect Jones (15.6 stars), who has averaged 41.2 points to date, to deliver one of his typical towering performances against Les Bleus.

James Ryan is the only player ahead of him in the standings and costs more at 16.4 stars. It’s a no-brainer, really.

Rampaging No.8 CJ Stander has been nothing short of sensational in the 2020 Guinness Six Nations so far, earning man of the match honours in both of Ireland’s games.

Fantasy Rugby’s third highest-scoring forward, Stander averages 61.3 points per game, making 27 tackles and running 101 metres with the ball so far, making good on his expensive price of 17.2 stars.

Having won both of their Championship games so far, Ireland play England at Twickenham this weekend and Stander will be vital if Ireland are to triumph over the hosts’ impressive pack.

While he’s another option who will set you back at 17.4 stars, there is no doubting Gregory Alldritt’s worth after delivering two dominant performances to become the game’s highest-scoring player.

Averaging a huge 86.1 points, making 30 tackles and running 177 metres in the process, Alldritt was named man of the match in both of France’s games and scoring a try in their 35-22 victory over Italy.

Facing defending champions Wales in Cardiff this Saturday – in Les Bleus first game on the road this year – Alldritt will need to be at his best again if France are to continue their winning start.

Despite the high price, he’s a must have in any back row.

He is the most expensive hooker in the game for a reason.

Jamie George has been he usual model of consistency for England so far in this campaign and his battle against Rob Herring will be one to keep an eye on when they meet on Sunday.

While Herring is the cheaper option (11.3 stars) and currently has a higher average score (34.5), George loves a big occasion so expect him to improve on his 27.2 average points total.

Should you want better value for money then Luke Cowan-Dickie would also be a safe bet, with George’s Red Rose teammate only 11.0 stars – and a good impact sub from the bench.

A more affordable option at 11.3 stars, Dillon Lewis is Wales’ top-scoring prop with an average of 29.5 points per game after the first two round of the 2020 Guinness Six Nations.

His 22 tackles and 45 metres run with the ball are also the highest among Wales’ props, making him one of their standout forwards as Wales strive to retain the title they won in 2019.

He’s also the fourth highest scoring prop in Fantasy Rugby and is 1.4 stars cheaper than the man directly above him – France’s Cyril Baille, who has averaged 30.2 points so far.

Wales face unbeaten France on Saturday but with home advantage, and a vocal Principality Stadium roaring them on, Lewis certainly represents a good value option for your front row.
