With a break next weekend before the final two game weeks of this year’s Championship, Guinness Six Nations Fantasy Rugby players will be spending the next fortnight fine-tuning their squads to prepare for the home straight.
Could Scotland’s players have forced their way back into the reckoning following their first win of the campaign in Rome on Saturday?
Four of Gregor Townsend’s squad have made the Fantasy Rugby Team of the Week including fly-half Adam Hastings, whose tally of 94.4 points was higher than any other player across the weekend.
Hastings’ try, which he then converted, was the icing on the cake of a successful outing for the 23-year-old, who ran 95 metres with ball in hand including two clean breaks, with 10 defenders beaten over the 80 minutes.
Scotland skipper Stuart Hogg also impressed in the 17-0 win and narrowly trailed his teammate with 88.9 points, earning him the full-back jersey in the Team of the Week.
Hogg’s super solo try opened his team’s account for the Championship and the scorer of their second, Chris Harris, is also included after the outside centre racked up 58.1 points.
No.8 Hamish Watson (76.7 points) completes the Scottish contingent after making a team-high 15 tackles in the Stadio Olimpico, missing none.
France stayed top of the table after beating Wales 27-23, their first win in Cardiff since 2010 and a result which has seen four of their stars make the Team of the Week.
Charles Ollivon (56.1 points) and Gregory Alldritt (55.2 points) join Watson in the back row after fine displays, though fly-half Romain Ntamack just missed out – his impressive haul of 91.6 points shaded by Player of the Week Hastings.
Inside centre Arthur Vincent (49.9 points) makes the cut following a fierce defensive performance, including 16 tackles – three fewer than Paul Willemse (74.3 points), whose dominance up front earns him a spot in the second row.
Beaten Wales have just one representative in the Team of the Week in the form of prop Dillon Lewis (29.5 points).
The other front-rows included are both English. Luke Cowan-Dickie (37.1 points) came off the bench to score his team’s final try in the convincing 24-12 win over Ireland at Twickenham, while Kyle Sinckler (28.7 points) put in another solid shift.
Courtney Lawes joins France’s Willemse in the second row of the Team of the Week after earning 56.6 points in his man of the match performance.
Scrum-half John Cooney is the sole Irish face in the team with a 13.6-point tally boosted by his late conversion of Andrew Porter’s consolation try.
Italy also have just the one player included following their third straight defeat. Winger Mattia Bellini (31.9 points) could not repeat his try-scoring exploits from the previous game week but looked dangerous in a losing cause against Scotland, making 74 metres including two clean breaks.
