The second rest week is over and now we’re ready for the sprint to the finish in the 2020 Guinness Six Nations.

After an enthralling Round 3, Round 4 promises to follow in similar footsteps as this weekend delivers two fixtures to get excited about.

Depending on results, the destination of the Championship trophy could either become a lot clearer or even muddier, as France look to move one step away from a Grand Slam but England are ready to pounce.

The action starts on Saturday afternoon with England welcoming Wales to Twickenham as Eddie Jones’ side aim to close the gap between themselves and table-toppers France.

Sunday then witnesses Les Bleus taking on a Scotland side who tasted their first victory against Italy in Round 3 and will be aiming to build momentum in these final rounds.

Before the game themselves, questions such as who is going to replace Josh Adams for Wales and will England stick with the same side that beat Ireland will be answered. So, just when are the sides announcing their teams?

ENGLAND – THURSDAY

Eddie Jones will name his squad on Thursday at 10:45am and will be boosted by the return of Mark Wilson ahead of the clash with Wales.

Back-rower Wilson is fully fit after completing two fixtures for Sale Sharks following his rehabilitation from knee surgery and could bringing a handy versatility with his ability to play across the back row.

Anthony Watson could also make his first appearance of the Championship after recovering from a calf injury while prop Mako Vunipola could return to the side after missing the Ireland win due to family reasons.

After such an impressive showing in Round 3 though, will Jones opt for continuity and resist the temptation to include some of his returning stars?

WALES – THURSDAY

Wayne Pivac will be unable to include Josh Adams when he announces his side to face England on Thursday at 12pm.

The winger has been ruled out after suffering a serious ankle injury against France in the previous round.

Fly-half Dan Biggar is also a doubt for the clash at Twickenham after he hobbled off with a knee complaint for Northampton Saints at the weekend, with Jarrod Evans potentially set to deputise at No.10.

However, the returns of both Liam Williams and Josh Navidi have enhanced Pivac’s selection choices as his side aim to deny England the Triple Crown.

Williams has not featured for his country since sustaining an ankle injury in last year’s World Cup while flanker Navidi is also yet to feature in this year’s Guinness Six Nations after pulling his hamstring days before Wales’ opener against Italy.

FRANCE – FRIDAY

Fabien Galthié has shown he is not afraid to change a winning formula after shuffling the deck for the Wales contest last time out by including Virimi Vakatawa, which prompted positional changes in the back-line.

He will again be without La Rochelle wing Vincent Rattez, after his broken fibula ended his Championship, although Damian Penaud may have recovered from his calf injury.

Prop Jefferson Poirot has been added to the wider squad as a replacement for Cyril Baille, who injured his shoulder against Wales, and hooker Camille Chat will also miss out.

Galthié is set to announce his team to face Scotland at BT Murrayfield on Sunday at 12pm GMT on Friday.

SCOTLAND – FRIDAY

Meanwhile, Scotland are set to announce their side to face Les Bleus on Friday afternoon at 1:45pm.

Gregor Townsend will be without Edinburgh full-back Darcy Graham after the knee injury he sustained prior to the Italy fixture has ruled him out for the rest of the Championship.

Conversely, Townsend has added another Edinburgh man, lock Lewis Carmichael, to his 37-man training squad, while Exeter Chiefs forward Sam Skinner replaces Worcester Warriors back-row Cornell du Preez.
