Scotland have already broken one away duck in the 2021 Guinness Six Nations and now Hamish Watson thinks they can do it again against France in Round 3.
Scotland have not won away to Les Bleus since the 1999 Five Nations, which was also the last time they went on to become champions.
That’s a run of 12 matches, including World Cup warm-ups, but Watson believes they can repeat their Round 1 heroics against England, when they snapped an even longer winless run with a first victory at Twickenham since 1983.

France are one of just two unbeaten teams left in the 2021 Championship after they opened their campaign with successive away wins against Italy and Ireland.
Meanwhile, Scotland were brought back to earth in Round 2, as Louis Rees-Zammit inspired Wales to a dramatic 25-24 win at BT Murrayfield in a thrilling end-to-end game.
Scotland lost prop Zander Fagerson to a red card early in the second half and Watson believes they have the ability to bounce back against France.
“It’s gutting. We lost the game, Wales didn’t win it. We had that game in our hands and we chucked it away,” he said.
“France away is going to be ten times harder than the game on Saturday. We know we are a good enough team to go to France though and beat them.
“We haven’t done that for a while so let’s get that monkey off our back. Saturday doesn’t change how good a team we are – we lost that from our own undoing.
“We believe we can win these next three games and we will go to France still full of confidence because we know how good a team we are.”
