The destiny of the 2021 Guinness Six Nations is beginning to take shape after an enthralling Round 2.

Wales and France remain as the only unbeaten sides after a dramatic win over Scotland and narrow victory over Ireland respectively.

England, meanwhile, got back to winning ways as they put six tries past Italy at Twickenham.

With three rounds to go, the direction of our Fantasy Rugby teams is also becoming clear.

But, whether you’re in need of an overhaul or just minor tinkering at the top of the table, we’ve got a selection of options for you in the forward ranks to mull over.

Pick your Fantasy Rugby team ahead of Round 3!

Wyn Jones (Wales) – 15.5 stars

Wales have been impressive in the 2021 Championship with two wins from two and prop Wyn Jones has been his typically combative self up front.

With 51.9 and 58.6 points from Round 1 and 2 contests with Ireland and Scotland, Jones is a consistent source of accumulation for any Fantasy Rugby team and is well worth having.

To go with his Guinness Six Nations Player of the Match award on the opening weekend, Jones dotted down against Gregor Townsend’s side and made 14 tackles as well as 34 metres from six carries.

The visit of England will be sure to be another step up for his side but if anyone can tackle that head on then Jones can.

Kyle Sinckler (England) – 13.9 stars

Priced at 13.9 stars, Kyle Sinckler is not in the very top bracket of most expensive assets to have and could well be a brilliant alternative.

Having starred against Italy to earn the Guinness Six Nations Player of the Match award, Sinckler registered 53.1 points in Round 2 as he impressed with an all-round brilliant display.

The prop carried the ball 11 times for 40 metres, was a dominant force at the scrum, didn’t miss a tackle and was an intense presence in the side.

This led to Eddie Jones describing him as a “jungle tiger” and one of the best tighthead props in the world.

Ronan Kelleher (Ireland) – 12.1 stars

Although he is yet to make a start in the Guinness Six Nations, Ireland hooker Ronan Kelleher showed he could well be a force to be reckoned with off the bench against France.

In a lively 24-minute display Kelleher scored his side’s only try and made 36 metres from three carries – potentially forcing the selectors’ hand ahead of a Round 3 clash with Italy.

To get the reward you often have to take a risk and Kelleher could be a brilliant cheap value punt to take, possibly as a supersub if he does not start in Rome.

Sebastian Negri (Italy) – 12.0 stars

Italy’s second most expensive Fantasy Rugby asset, Sebastian Negri has been impressive without perhaps quite delivering the stellar fantasy points haul so far.

But, having made 96 metres with the ball and 21 tackles so far this Championship, back-row Negri is backed for a big points showing in Round 3 against Ireland.
