Duhan van der Merwe crossed in the 86th-minute to secure Scotland their first win away at France for 22 years in a pulsating game.

France needed to score four tries and win by at least 21 points to usurp Wales at the top of the table but struggled to shake Scotland off, before eventually falling to defeat.

Brice Dulin, Damian Penaud and Swan Rebbadj crossed for France tries, while Van der Merwe scored twice and Dave Cherry once for Scotland.
