French referee Aurélie Groizeleau will be in charge of the first match of the 2021 Women’s Six Nations this weekend, as she oversees the clash between England and Scotland at Castle Park.

Simon Middleton’s side will be looking for an eighth straight victory in all competitions as the Championship gets underway in Doncaster, having won all five of their matches to complete a Grand Slam in 2020.

The visitors will be looking to get their campaign off to a strong start when they make the journey South of the border, where Groizeleau will be assisted by the Italian duo of Beatrice Benvenuti and Maria Pacifico on the sidelines, and Ireland’s Joy Neville as TMO.

With this year’s new format consisting of two groups of three teams, there are two matches to enjoy this weekend, with France welcoming Wales to Vannes later in the day.

After missing out on the crown last year, Annick Hayraud’s side will be itching to get back into action this time around, with the visitors looking to improve on last year’s campaign where they failed to register a victory.

England’s Nikki O’Donnell will be tasked with keeping the players in shape at Stade de la Rabine, with compatriot Katherine Ritchie assisting on one side, and Scotland’s Hollie Davidson on the other, while Italian official Stefano Penne will be keeping an eye on proceedings from upstairs.
