It may only be five months since the 2020 Women’s Six Nations came to an end but the 2021 Championship is here with a new format and a mouth-watering double-header to kick us off.

This year sees two pools of three teams face each other once, with the sides from the corresponding positions in each group then meeting on Super Saturday Finals Day.

The winner of the match between the two pool winners will be crowned champions of the 2021 Women’s Six Nations.

Before we get there however, we’ve got an opening weekend to savour as Pool A sees reigning Grand Slam champions England welcome Scotland to Castle Park, Doncaster for the first game of this year’s Championship.

Later on Saturday, France host Wales at Stade de la Rabine in Vannes as Pool B kicks off and with a shortened format, there is no margin for error this year.

Here’s how you can watch each game from the opening weekend.

SATURDAY APRIL 3

England v Scotland – Castle Park, Doncaster. KO: 3pm (BST)

If you’re based in the UK, then BBC iPlayer will be showing the match at Castle Park between England and Scotland, as part of the BBC’s package to broadcast every game in the 2021 Championship.

RTE Player is the place to go if you’re in Ireland and want to watch the maiden match of the Women’s Six Nations, while fans in Italy can see it on Eurosport Player.

France v Wales – Stade de la Rabine, Vannes. KO: 8pm (BST)

Round 1 concludes with Wales’s trip to Vannes to take on France and once again, BBC iPlayer is the place to go for UK-based supporters.

Those in France should switch their televisions over to France 4 to catch the game, while Eurosport Player will broadcast the game in Italy.

And if supporters in Ireland want an early look at how their Pool B opponents are shaping up, then the RTE Player will be showing the game live.
