Italy host England in Pool A in Saturday’s first match and the defending champions got their title defence off to a magnificent start with a 52-10 win against Scotland last week.

Now the Red Rose, who beat Italy in November to sew up the 2020 Grand Slam, are looking to secure top spot in Pool A and book a place in the final on Super Saturday.

French referee Groizeleau will be in charge and supported by assistants Doriane Domenjo and Francesca Martin, while Neil Paterson will be keeping an eye on the TV from the TMO booth.

Italy v England is the first of a Saturday double-header, with the Pool B clash between Wales and Ireland starting at 5pm in Cardiff.

Wales will be looking to respond to their 53-0 defeat to France in Round 1, while Ireland are gearing up for their first taste of action this year.

Scottish referee Davidson – who refereed her first Guinness PRO14 game last month – will preside over the action at Cardiff Arms Park.

She will be supported by assistant referees Sara Cox and Maria Pacifico, while Marius Mitrea is in the TMO’s chair.
