England claimed the 2021 Six Nations Under-20s Grand Slam after overcoming a stubborn Italy side 27-17 in a scintillating Round 5 clash at Cardiff Arms Park.

Orlando Bailey’s early try put the Red Rose on course for a fifth bonus-point win in a row, while centre Jack Bates also touched down before half-time.

Italy certainly played their part in a thrilling contest, with Ion Neculai and Tommaso Di Bartolomeo both crashing over after the break to keep the English celebrations on ice.

But Player of the Match Arthur Relton notched two second-half scores to secure a clean sweep of wins for Alan Dickens’ men, and send the coveted Championship trophy to Twickenham for the first time since 2017.
