Round 3 of the Summer Nations Series was filled with talking points, from milestones being celebrated to incredible tries and everything in between.
South Africa showed their credentials as the Rugby World Cup holders less than a month before the start of the tournament, putting in a commanding display to defeat Wales 52-16 in Cardiff.
Italy were equally as impressive, putting on a show in front of their home supporters as they ran out 57-7 winners against Romania, while Ireland showed just why they were the number one side in the world with a dominant 29-10 win over England.
And to cap off a thrilling weekend of rugby, France and Fiji dazzled in Nantes, with Les Bleus extending their winning streak on home soil to 12 matches as they held on 34-17.
That led to many pundits, former players and members of the public taking to social media to voice their thoughts on four big matches of rugby and there was no bigger talking point than Keith Earls.
The Munster utility back was set to make his 100th cap for Ireland, becoming just the ninth player to do so and before he had even got onto the field, his teammates were simply buzzing.
Earls did come on, having led out his country earlier on with his three daughters and it did not take him long to add a 36th try to his tally after his incredible reception by the Aviva Stadium.
And after celebrating his century with a brilliantly taken acrobatic try, Earls spoke of the perfect day in Dublin.
Earlier on in the day, South Africa proved to be too much for Wales at Principality Stadium and they were led from the start by captain Siya Kolisi, returning to the side from a knee injury.
To say Kolisi’s opening half went well is an understatement, with the Springbok captain immediately looking back at home after almost four months out.
And in typical fashion, the captain was quick to heap praise on others, after a hugely impressive return.
South Africa ran in eight tries in total, including a length of the field score after Pieter Steph du Toit’s interception found Jesse Kriel, who was able to sprint away and finish.
Meanwhile, Italy racked up scores of their own, running in nine tries in total, including a first score for Paolo Odogwu, on only his second cap for the Azzurri.
But for Italy there was one clear crowd favourite, who came in the form of Ange Capuozzo and the dazzling full-back put in an incredible display, scoring two tries on his return from a shoulder injury.
And after an impressive Summer Nations Series win, it seems both the crowd and player himself enjoyed themselves.
To cap the day off, we were spoilt with France and Fiji clashing in Nantes, somewhere that has a special place in Fijian hearts after their win over Wales in the 2007 Rugby World Cup.
Before the action even begun we had our first Cibi of the summer to get the blood flowing.
Les Bleus came out of the gates quickly and built a 21-10 half-time lead thanks to tries from Peato Mauvaka and Uini Atonio but perhaps the most satisfying aspect of the win came through Melvyn Jaminet’s pinpoint kicking.
The big story in the week was that Romain Ntamack was ruled out of the World Cup with an ACL injury and this young fan echoed everyone’s feelings.
The game was tight at 24-17 with just over 20 minutes to go, before Sekou Macalou lit the world alight with an interception from the half way line, prompting a question we were all thinking.
