Another action-packed Autumn Nations Cup weekend is over with England, France and Wales coming out on top in their respective clashes.
And with no spectators in stadiums, social media has continued to be an ever-present for those fans putting their feet up and watching the matches at home.
England continued their excellent form with an 18-7 win over Ireland at Twickenham, with red-hot winger Jonny May scoring two tries to draw level with Will Greenwood and Ben Cohen in second in the all-time list.
But it was his second score that set social media alight and received plenty of praise from those watching at home – including the great Jason Robinson.
The England legend, who scored in the 2003 World Cup final to help the Red Rose to a historic victory over Australia, was quick to voice his delight at May’s scintillating solo effort.
And his club side Gloucester also revelled in the wide man’s exploits as his mazy run from one end to the other sliced open the Ireland defence.
Despite being on the wrong side of the result at Twickenham, Ireland were magnanimous in defeat and congratulated Eddie Jones’ side on their win.
The other Saturday game saw Wales record an 18-0 victory over Georgia, with a number of players making their international debuts.
And one of those was Cardiff Blues flanker James Botham, who took to social media and said: “Great to get my first cap. Would like to thank everyone who brought me in to rugby and got me to where I am today. #1161”
Another player celebrating at the end of Saturday was Wales and Gloucester’s Louis Rees-Zammit, who scored his first international try on his maiden Test start.
The 19-year-old scored the first try of game with 25 minutes on the clock, before also having a hand in the second to outline all his international credentials.
Bristol Bears were keeping an eye on the Wales game, with fly-half Callum Sheedy making his first start for the side.
Ioan Lloyd was one of Wayne Pivac’s debutants – with the Bears pointing out he made his Bristol debut just over one year before.
France secured a 22-15 triumph over Scotland at BT Murrayfield on Sunday afternoon, with powerhouse Virimi Vakatawa’s try the difference.
As well as the winning try, he also took home the Man of the Match award as Les Bleus edged out a hard-fought victory away from home.
The France centre took to social media after the match to wish his team luck for the rest of the competition.
And finally, Scotland’s five-game winning streak came to an end and Gregor Townsend’s team admit they are missing the raucous Edinburgh roar.
