A dazzling performance against Australia has seen Ange Capuozzo crowned Autumn Nations Series Player of the Round.

The Italy starlet continued his stunning form for his nation with two tries as Gli Azzurri secured an historic first-ever win against the Wallabies.

Capuozzo beat five defenders, made three line breaks, and carried for 81 metres in Florence as the Toulouse full-back continued his ascent as one of rugby’s most precocious young talents.

And your votes flew in for the 23-year-old’s stunning showing, as Capuozzo raked in an overwhelming majority of the vote ahead of Thomas Ramos, Freddie Steward, and Mark Telea.

It caps another fine week for Capuozzo, who was also nominated for the World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year award alongside England’s Henry Arundell, and Ireland’s Dan Sheehan and Mack Hansen.

Italy now face world champions South Africa on Saturday in a final test of their credentials this Autumn Nations Series, and Capuozzo will be looking to put in one more sparkling performance to round off an incredible year in international colours.
