Eddie Jones has retained a 25-player squad for England’s opening Autumn Nations Series match against Argentina this weekend.
Owen Farrell is passed fit to start, but Courtney Lawes is not which means there could be a first international appearance for either of the Northampton Saints locks, Alex Coles and David Ribbans.
Ben Youngs and Jack van Poortvliet are selected as the two scrum-halves which means there is no place for Raffi Quirke, though club teammate Manu Tuilagi is set for a return to Test rugby a year on from limping off seven minutes into England’s 27-26 win over South Africa.
Among those omitted from the final squad are the uncapped trio of Cadan Murley, George McGuigan and Val Rapava-Ruskin, who will hoped to be involved when England take on Japan in Round 2.
