The clock continues to tick towards the start of the hotly-anticipated Autumn Nations Cup, with the first of 16 blockbuster match-ups now little over a week away.

Having recently concluded their 2020 Six Nations exploits, Ireland, Wales, Italy, Scotland, England and France are preparing to be joined by Georgia and Fiji for the new and innovative tournament, that will be played over four weekends.

The eight sides have been split into two pools of four, with newly-crowned Six Nations champions England joining Georgia, Ireland and Wales in Group A, and Fiji, France, Italy and Scotland facing off in Group B.

Each team will play their fellow group members once before contesting a placing match based on their ranking, to determine their final position in the overall standings.

Andy Farrell’s Ireland host Wales in a mouth-watering Friday-night curtain-raiser on November 13, before Italy and Scotland go head-to-head in Rome and England host Georgia a day later, and Fiji travel to France in the weekend-concluding tie on the Sunday.

With the promise of a feast of thrills and spills, fans in the Republic of Ireland won’t have to miss a moment of the action thanks to a TV deal that will see RTÉ and Premier Sports share coverage of all the Autumn Nations Cup games.

All four Ireland matches will be available free-to-air exclusively on RTÉ, while Ryle Nugent and Rob Kearney will feature as part of Premier Sports’ broadcast of the 12 remaining ties.
