Frenchman Romain Poite will be the man in the middle as the third round of the Autumn Nations Cup gets underway in Llanelli on Saturday, when England travel to face Wales.
Poite was due to be in charge of Italy’s cancelled Round 2 match with Fiji last weekend, but will return to action as Eddie Jones’ side look to make it three wins out of three in the competition.
The Red Rose backed up their 40-0 opening round victory over Georgia with a dominant 18-7 win over Ireland last time out, with two dazzling tries from Jonny May enough to seal the victory at Twickenham.
Pascal Gauzere and Alex Ruiz will be running the line at Parc y Scarlets, with Irishman Brian MacNeice the man behind the screen as the hosts look to build on last Saturday’s 18-0 victory over Georgia.
Later in the day, Italy and France go head-to-head in Paris, with the hosts aiming to get the win they need to top Group B as the group stages come to a close.
Fabien Galthie’s side ground out a hard-fought 22-15 victory over Scotland last time out, while the visitors will be refreshed after having two weeks to recover since their opening day defeat to Scotland in Florence.
Welshman Nigel Owens will be the man with the whistle at Stade de France, with the 49-year-old returning to the field after being TMO for England’s clash with Ireland last time out.
Owens will be assisted by Englishman Matt Carley and Mike Adamson of Scotland for that one, while fellow Scotsman Sam Grove-White will be studying the tapes.
Finally, the third weekend of Autumn Nations Cup action comes to a close on Sunday afternoon, as Georgia travel to Dublin to face Ireland in the final group stage action of the competition.
The Lelos are yet to trouble the scorers in their first two matches against Wales and England, and will be hoping to do their country proud with a strong performance at the Aviva Stadium.
Andy Farrell will have his troops baying for blood ahead of the weekend, with last Saturday’s defeat to England still playing on their minds, and will be looking to head into the final weekend of the competition with their heads held high.
It will be French referee Mathieu Raynal taking the reins on Sunday, with the help of England’s Luke Pearce and Italys Andrea Piardi, while Marius Mitrea will be TMO.
