Jack Willis will make his England debut on Saturday after Eddie Jones named a much-changed side for their opening Autumn Nations Cup clash with Georgia.

The reigning Premiership Player of the Year was outstanding for club side Wasps last season and he will get to show what he can do at openside flanker, in a back row that also includes Maro Itoje and Billy Vunipola.

Itoje is pushed back from his usual second-row spot, which is filled by Charlie Ewels and Joe Launchbury, while Ellis Genge, Jamie George and Will Stuart make up the front row.

Ben Youngs wins his 101st England cap at scrum-half and is joined at half-back by captain Owen Farrell.

Henry Slade keeps his place at inside centre and plays in midfield alongside Ollie Lawrence, who will make his first start after impressing from the bench in the Six Nations against Italy last month.

Elliot Daly returns after injury to start at full-back and he is flanked in the back three by wingers Jonny May and Jonathan Joseph – who shifts across from outside centre to cover for the injured Anthony Watson.

Max Malins could also make his England debut from the bench, where he is joined by the likes of Tom Curry, Mako Vunipola and Dan Robson.

Head coach Eddie Jones said: “We’ve had a really good week of training.  We know there are a lot of expectations on us and we’ve applied ourselves hard and put a lot of pressure on ourselves in the early part of this week.

“Georgia will be a tough opponent, so we have a team with some real power in midfield.  We have a good mix of youth and experience across the squad and they are completely focused on putting in an excellent performance on Saturday.

“We’re looking forward to being back at our home at Twickenham, we are humbled by the opportunity and want to give people a reason to smile during such a tough time for the country.”
