Jacques Brunel spoke of his pride in his players during his post-match team talk in Paris on Saturday – with France Télévisions capturing it for supporters to enjoy.
Les Bleus got their first win in the 2019 Guinness Six Nations, beating Scotland 27-10 with a bonus point.
And after the game, Brunel told his charges just how proud he was of them, two weeks after their heavy defeat to England at Twickenham.
The performance was all the more impressive as France scored four tries, and had four more ruled out by the TMO.
Brunel told his team: “You should be proud of yourselves, boys.
“It was not an easy victory. It seemed as if luck was going against us. They disallowed tries and the score did not follow what we had put in.
“We said that we were going to hammer them and run into them, and that’s what you did. Well done.
“We have picked up a little bit of momentum.
“You have been very strong because you didn’t doubt yourselves but you were right in the action, just like we spoke about last week. Well done.”
France will now turn their attentions to Round Four, where they face a tough trip to defending champions Ireland.
And Brunel has warned his team they will need to step it up again, if they are to make it two wins in a row in the Championship.
He added: “Now we have to go again. It’s going to be another difficult test, but I believe there is something here. Well done again.”
