Five uncapped players have been named in France’s squad for the conclusion of this year’s Guinness Six Nations and the new Autumn Nations Cup.

Prop Georges-Henri Colombe and centre Olivier Klemenczak, both of Racing 92, are the two new faces in the 31-man squad with Lyon second row Killian Geraci, Toulouse No.8 Selevasio Tolofua and La Rochelle winger Arthur Retière also striving for their first French caps.

Les Bleus have played four matches so far in this year’s Championship and are well in contention for their first title since 2010 with three wins under their belt.

Fabien Galthié’s side begin their autumn with an international against Wales before a clash with Ireland on October 31, with the victor potentially being crowned Guinness Six Nations 2020 champions at the Stade de France.

Charles Ollivon will once again take up the mantle of captain, one of four Toulon players in the squad alongside Jean-Baptiste Gros, Baptiste Serin and Romain Taofifenua.

The new Top 14 season got under way last month while Toulon also have a European final to look forward to, facing off with English side Bristol Bears in next Friday’s Challenge Cup Final.

There is also French representation in the Champions Cup with Racing taking on Exeter Chiefs on Saturday 17 October, with Camille Chat, Bernard Le Roux, Colombe, Klemenczak, Virimi Vakatawa and Teddy Thomas all making the France squad following an impressive continental season.

Clermont’s Damian Penaud misses out having suffered an ankle injury in the Top 14 clash with Agen last weekend.
