Super Saturday in the 2022 Guinness Six Nations did not disappoint as the final round of the Championship delivered some classic matches.

France finally lifted that much awaited Grand Slam title after 12 years of hurt as they defeated England 25-13 in Le Crunch leading to large scale celebrations in Paris.

Earlier on in the day Ireland defeated Scotland 26-5 to claim the Triple Crown and temporarily put the pressure on France, who duly delivered.

And in the Super Saturday opener, Italy won their first Guinness Six Nations match since 2015, with a last-gasp try from Edoardo Padovani to stun Wales at the Principality Stadium.

After such a quality weekend, there was a lot of excellent social content to go with it, here is the best of social from a bumper Super Saturday.

With France lifting the Championship title for the first time since 2010, there was an incredible reaction from many of the French players after the final whistle.

Two of those players were half-backs Antoine Dupont and Romain Ntamack, two of France’s stars.

Meanwhile, two of France’s most eye-catching performers in the Championship, Damian Penaud and Gabin Villiére also took to social media to celebrate.

Penaud opted for the traditional “goodnight” trophy shot that we’ve become accustomed to seeing.

While Villiére was just extremely grateful, thanking everyone “for the strength you have given us.”

Cyril Baille was another player who thanked supporters, saying “thank you for all your support from the start.”

Meanwhile, France’s Grand Slam was a good opportunity to look back at an old Grand Slam, with some very familiar faces lifting the trophy in 2002 and now as coaches twenty years later.

And one of those familiar French faces Raphaël Ibañez congratulated his team for their title win.

While the man who coached Ibañez and Fabien Galthié to glory, the current President of French Rugby Federation Bernard Laporte was another to congratulate Les Bleus on their achievement, as France won their tenth Grand Slam title.

Outside of players and coaches, there were plenty of supporters at the Stade de France who enjoyed one of French Rugby’s great nights.

While there was also a message of congratulations from a star of another sport, as Esteban Ocon sent a message to the France squad ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix?

In the opening game of the day, Italy caught the hearts of many with their incredible win over Wales in Cardiff.

Victory for Italy ended their 36-game wait, and the emotions of all the Italian players was clear to see.

And the Italian win caught the attention of rugby fans and pundits around the continent, including Ugo Monye who used a classic Sky Sports meme to show how he felt about the result.

Meanwhile, Ange Capuozzo gripped many with his incredible break to set up Edoardo Padovani for the winning score.

One of those who enjoyed the full-back’s performance was Paolo Odogwu.

But one of the moments of Super Saturday was Josh Adams’ incredible act of sportsmanship, handing Capuozzo his player of the match award.

And elsewhere, Ireland sealed the Triple Crown in style with a 26-5 win over Scotland.

It was a win that was enjoyed by many of the Irish public, as well as the players enjoying the result with their families, including Bundee Aki and his son Andronicus.
