Italy Under-20s coaches Fabio Roselli and Andrea Moretti have rewarded the players that recorded Italy’s first-ever win at this level – against Wales last weekend – by naming an unchanged side for their clash with Scotland in Bari on Friday.

The starting XV is the same as the one that took the field in Colwyn Bay, and the eight replacements are also unchanged.

The Azzurrini had never beaten Wales in 20 previous meetings prior to that win.

Tries from Michele Mancini Parri and Matteo Luccardi secured the win, both of whom start in the front row against Scotland.

Both sides are on six points with one win apiece and will be looking to avoid finishing bottom of the standings.

Roselli said: “The team is training well and we are doing our best together with the staff to prepare well for this match.

“There is confidence but also the awareness that it will be a challenging match for us.

“Scotland will certainly arrive in Italy to put us into difficulty and we will have to be ready.”
