Ollie Lawrence and Will Stuart will make their first Guinness Six Nations starts on Saturday after Eddie Jones named his England side to face Scotland in the Calcutta Cup.
Lawrence will start at inside centre and just outside captain Owen Farrell, who gets the nod at fly-half ahead of George Ford.
Stuart starts at tighthead prop and forms a front row that also includes Jamie George at hooker and Ellis Genge at loosehead.
Maro Itoje and Jonny Hill make up the second row, while Mark Wilson replaces the injured Sam Underhill to complete a back row with Tom Curry and Billy Vunipola.
Ben Youngs will partner Farrell at half-back, Henry Slade will start outside Lawrence in the No.13 jersey and Jonny May, Anthony Watson and Elliot Daly make up the back three.
Prop Beno Obano is in line for his England debut from the bench.
Jones said: “We’re really looking forward to this game and getting the Guinness Six Nations back underway. It’s even more special to be taking part in a 150th anniversary game, it will be a good occasion.
Five must-have forwards for your fantasy team in Round 1
“It was difficult to pick the 23 players. We’ve had a really good week of training, it’s been very competitive but I’ve gone with what I feel is the strongest 23 for this week.
“The Six Nations is a short tournament, it’s a real sprint so we’ll need to be on the front foot straight away. We know Scotland will be raring to go – but so will we.”
