Peter O’Mahony gave on Irish fan a moment to treasure on Super Saturday when he presented Jennifer Malone with his NatWest 6 Nations winner’s medal as well as bringing her the trophy to lift.
Malone is a huge fan of the Ireland team, regularly attending training sessions at Carton House.
So when O’Mahony spotted her in the crowd after Ireland had clinched the Grand Slam with a 24-15 victory at Twickenham, he went across to give her his winner’s medal and present her with the trophy.
Sister Rachel Malone was on-hand to document the moment, with Jennifer clearly thrilled at her medal after Ireland’s third-ever Grand Slam.
