Garry Ringrose will make his first start of this year’s NatWest 6 Nations after being named at outside centre for Ireland against Scotland on Saturday.

Ringrose returns from injury to take up the No.13 jersey vacated by the injured Chris Farrell, who in turn took it over from Robbie Henshaw after the first two rounds.

The Leinster midfielder is one of two changes to the starting XV made by Schmidt from the side that downed Wales in round three.

British & Irish Lions prop Tadhg Furlong returns from a hamstring problem to take up the No.3 jersey, meaning Andrew Porter slides to the replacements.

Another Lion in Iain Henderson is also fit to return but has to settle for a place on the bench as James Ryan and Devin Toner remain the starting second row pairing.

Rory Best and Cian Healy join Furlong in the front row while the back row is unchanged as Peter O’Mahony and Dan Leavy pack down either side of No.8 CJ Stander.

Conor Murray and Jonathan Sexton remain the half-backs while Ringrose partners Bundee Aki in midfield.

The back three of Rob Kearney, Jacob Stockdale and Keith Earls is untouched but Jordan Larmour comes on the bench as back three cover having missed out against Wales.

Jordi Murphy also comes onto the bench that includes Joey Carbery, Sean Cronin and Kieran Marmion.   IRELAND squad v Scotland, Saturday 10th March, 2018, Aviva Stadium
